Hi there! I’m Julia, and I love making magic with my camera.

I believe that when we allow all the parts of us to come forward, more of us is available to play, contribute and construct. Some parts need an invitation to be seen, and that’s what I am here for.

Usually people find me when they are at a precipice in their lives – they are entering into a new phase – be it a commitment in relationship, the birth of a child, or honoring a threshold of grief or closure, or a moment of leaping into a new creation.

Documenting these precious moments of family, love and life can help us to heal and feel more whole. It can help us to feel sane, and help us to remember what is important.

Photography has the power of making our experiences visible, as it helps to put images to the feelings or words of our experience.

I am an image maker in service to humans rising up more rooted, connected to the Earth and each other. I believe that my liberation is bound up in yours. I believe that making beauty is a pathway toward that healing and liberation, and there is nothing more beautiful than your authenticity.

Here is how it works…

If you are ready to have some photos taken, take a look at my photography packages and book a 30 minute discovery call with me to talk things through.

We’ll have a conversation about your intention for the shoot, what you hope to use the photos for. We can meet in your home where I offer authentic documentary style photos of you, of your family time or of a project or creation you want made visible. Or we first can ‘set the scene’…. be it with a ritual that we craft for the shoot itself, an immersion into your favorite nature spot or to play with some concepts that are part of your current inquiry and require some props. We’ll discuss the location(s), the date, time, and go from there.

PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES

“THE CONCEPT SHOOT” - 2 hour shoot, up to two locations

This photography package is ideal for exploring creative concepts that involve props, multiple outfit changes, and for those who want a more diverse gallery of images to work with which require additional curation before and during the process.

  • We have one or two 30 minute meetings prior to the shoot (as needed) where I hear about your wishes and intentions. We brainstorm visual concepts, locations and outfits, and hatch a plan.

  • I will create a conceptual mood board to guide us artistically based on the initial meeting.

  • On the day of the shoot, we will begin with a ritual and intention setting.

  • We spend 2 hours in up to two locations that are close to each other (Will allow for 20-min driving time between locations if needed) and work with up to three concepts.

  • I can advise some beautiful places I know! We can meet in outdoor locations of your choosing, or at your home and explore intimate and staged photos using lights and props. including stylized portraits.

  • You will receive 40-50 of the best photos edited in a digital gallery for you to keep within 7 days of the shoot.

THE SPACIOUS ONE - 90 min shoot, 1 location

This shoot package is ideal for maternity, engagement, and for creative portraits.

  • We will spend 30 minutes on the phone ahead of the shoot to discuss your wishes and intentions. We will discuss which locations and outfits will be the right fit to match your vision.

  • This is a 90 minute photoshoot that will take place at one location

  • We will have time to play with up to two flushed out concepts, or three simple wardrobe changes.

  • I am available for consultations (you can send me photos of your outfits!).

  • You will receive 30-40 of the best photos edited in a digital gallery within 7 days of the shoot.

ZEE MINI SHOOT - 1 hour shoot, 1 location

This photography package is ideal for headshots and exploring a simple theme within the rage of 2 outfits.

  • We will spend 30 minutes on the phone to discuss your wishes and intentions for the shoot. We will discuss which locations and outfits will be the right fit to match your vision.

  • This is a one-hour photoshoot that will take place at one location. It is a good match if you want headshots or simple, yet creative, portraits.

  • We will have time for up to two wardrobe changes, and I am available for consultations (you can send me photos of your outfits!).

  • You will receive 20-30 of the best photos edited in a digital gallery within 7 days of the shoot.

Live Event Photography

Weddings, House Concerts, Holidays, Births, Bat Mitzvahs, Reunions and more. I am available for custom-made events. My rates depend on the length and scope of the experience. Please inquire by booking a discovery call.

Why sliding scale? 

My approach is to allow flexibility for all kinds of budgets while making my work sustainable. Our exchange is far more than monetary, and in some cases will consider trades for goods or services! I also take credit cards and payment plans.
